Terms of service

1. About Kiki²
Kiki² is a managed home-services platform operated in Auckland, New Zealand. We match clients to vetted single-mum workers (“Kikis”) for cleaning, lawn mowing, bond cleans and garden tidies. Kiki² is the contracting party — we engage the Kikis (as independent contractors or casual employees) and arrange the service on your behalf. We are not a marketplace.
2. Bookings, pricing and payment
All prices shown in the booking flow are in NZD and GST-inclusive. For one-off bookings a 50% deposit is charged at booking; the balance is charged automatically to the saved card when the job is complete.
Recurring bookings carry no deposit from the second booking onwards — the full amount is charged on completion of each visit. Card details are stored securely with Stripe; Kiki² does not see or store full card numbers.
3. Scheduling
We work within school hours (9:00am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri). The scheduling engine matches your booking to an available Kiki and fits the job inside the school-hours window. You’ll receive a text when the Kiki is confirmed and again on the morning of the service.
4. Cancellations and changes
You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled service — the deposit is refunded within 3–5 business days. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the service forfeit the deposit.
For recurring services you can skip individual dates, pause the series, or change frequency at any time from your account.
5. Photos and dispute resolution
Your Kiki takes timestamped before-and-after photos of every job. These are stored privately and visible in your account. If something isn’t right you have 24 hours after the service to raise a dispute. Kiki² reviews the photos and other evidence and resolves disputes within four hours of being raised. Outcomes may include payment release, partial refund, or full refund, at Kiki²’s discretion.
6. Worker arrangements
Kikis are engaged by Kiki² as independent contractors or as casual employees depending on the arrangement agreed at signup. All Kikis are ID-verified, police-vetted, and confirmed for the right to work in New Zealand before they accept any job.
7. Your obligations
You agree to provide a safe working environment, accurate access information, and to treat your Kiki with respect. You agree to secure pets and valuables before the visit. You authorise Kiki² to charge the payment method on file for the booked amount.
8. Liability
Kiki² is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Our maximum liability for any service is the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
9. Privacy
We collect and process personal information in line with our Privacy policy and the Privacy Act 2020.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version and effective date are always shown here. Continued use of the service after a change accepts the updated terms.
